Online Classes

Syracuse University’s online business students participate in live, face-to-face classes, hosted via Zoom, to promote collaboration and networking. All live classes are recorded for later review and include features such as breakout rooms for group projects, dark mode for night-time studying, and adjustable video speed for reviewing lectures.

Self-Paced Multimedia Coursework

On their own schedules, students complete weekly coursework that features high-quality videos, interactive content, quizzes, guest lectures and case studies.

Programs Designed for Working Professionals

Our online business programs are designed for working professionals who travel frequently or can’t commute to class. That’s why we offer classes six days a week, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, and all coursework and live classes are accessible via our full-service mobile app.

Residencies

At Syracuse Business, MBA students are required to attend three residencies as a part of their degree program. Master’s students are welcome to attend a residency as a part of their degree program when the topics are relevant. These three-day events are designed similarly to business conferences, encompassing experiential learning, insightful talks from prominent speakers, and interactive panels. They also provide invaluable networking opportunities, allowing students to meet their peers and professors face-to-face. Residencies are held either on campus, in the U.S., or abroad.

Meet Our Orange Business Students

Here at the Whitman School of Management, we celebrate the unique accomplishments of our diverse students and alumni. One such alumnus is professional NFL running back Latavius Murray, who chose Syracuse University not only because of its rich history of academic excellence but also because he grew up in Syracuse, New York.

“When I brought up the idea of going back to school, I thought, ‘Where can I go that would really mean something to me?’ I thought, Syracuse University. This was an opportunity for me to come back and be a part of this University that I’d been watching and keeping track of from a really young age, and also once I found out that this was one of the best schools to get your MBA, it was a no-brainer.”
